Cleda Curtis Neal

 

Cleda has traveled extensively in the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, where she has executed many commissioned portraits. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas. She attended graduate school at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.

Cleda has studied under many portrait painters around the country including Daniel Green and John Howard Sanden. She teaches the basic principles of painting and drawing that artist have used for hundreds of years. As did the Old Masters, she believes in learning and passing it on.


Cleda has been returning to our studio three times a year for the past two years. The students that have studied portraiture under Cleda have grown, not only in their painting portraits but have a better understanding in all other subjects. Cleda teaches color theory, values, the properties of colors, and much more.  This class is packed full of education, application and fun.
